Sepal SpA has brilliantly achieved the UNI EN ISO 9001: 2015, Qualicoat, and Qualanod certifications, again demonstrating its attention to tools that contribute to developing and guaranteeing quality. During each of our processes, all the extruded aluminum profile is subjected to repeated checks before it is carefully packed and shipped. The final phase of the testing is of fundamental importance thanks to a new optical detection machine, which allows a more in-depth control able to satisfy each customer, delivering only the material that meets the required requirements.
Starting from 2022 SEPAL has also seen the UNI EN ISO 15088 Certification recognized, being able to apply the CE Marking on structural profiles. Another aspect of fundamental importance for Sepal is respect for the environment, as evidenced by the UNI EN ISO 14001: 2015 certification through which Sepal is constantly committed to reducing its impact on the territory. As a demonstration of constant commitment over the years, SEPAL in 2021 recorded a 9,78% decrease in waste produced. An extraordinary result considering a significant increase in production terms over the year.
Since 2018, the coverage of all plants and warehouses has been subject to the installation of one of the largest photovoltaic systems in Italy in recent years, consisting of 7,747 high-efficiency SunPower panels, for a total power of 2.5 MWp, equal to one energy production of 3GWh per year. Sustainability and commitment to reducing CO2 emissions
The analysis of our supply chain has shown that a significant share of our emissions is linked to the purchase of raw materials such as aluminum. To substantially reduce this impact, we propose increasing the percentage of recycled aluminum used in our production processes. This choice will not only help reduce the CO₂ emissions associated with primary aluminum production, but will also allow us to access a market that is increasingly focused on sustainability, opening up new business opportunities.
